How do I get to Camp Himalayan?

Scheduled Volvo buses : Scheduled Volvo AC coaches leave from Delhi and other cities to Manali. The get off point to reach Camp Himalayan is Aut, which is an hour away from Camp Himalayan. At Aut, taxis can be rented to reach Camp Himalayan. The travel time from Delhi to Aut by bus is around 11 hours.

By Road

Banjar is 535 kms from New Delhi. Take NH-1 that leads you to Chandigarh. From there, turn left on NH-21 leading to Aut via Ropar, Bilaspur, Mandi. On reaching Aut, follow the River Tirthan from Larji and head for village Bhiyar (12 kms from Banjar town)

By Air

The nearest airport is Bhuntar, Kullu. From Delhi, it takes one and half an hour to reach Kullu-Manali airport. Driving disctance for Camp Himalayan is approx. 57 kms. The other airport is at Gaggal called Kangra Airport, which is around 200 kms. away from Banjar-Kullu

By Train

Nearest railhead – Kiratpur Sahib or Kalka. The camp is approx. 225 kms.

What’s the best time to visit?

Spring and summer are great time to visit. Apple, peach and almond trees are flowering with subtle yet magical colors. It’s a treat to the eyes to catch a glimpse of some natural spreads of flowers in a few patches within the orchard area. Various hues of pinks, reds, yellows and oranges can be enjoyed.

Nature offers a very colourful experience with flowers in full bloom. The weather is also perfect and a relief from the harsh temperatures of the cities.

Winter transforms the entire valley into a magical land. Wake up in the morning to find everything covered with white. Snow on lamp post, on trees tells the story of the Nature’s workmanship. Time to click the most picture perfect post card shots.

How many guests can Camp Himalayan accommodate?

Camp Himalayan can accommodate a total of 40 guests (including children) at its cottages. We also have another location (Himalayan Peace Camp), which is located at the riverside. – We can provide information about it upon request.

What meals are offered?

Camp Himalayan offers tasty and nutritious set vegetarian meals. All special requirements need to be informed in advance.

What are the medical facilities available?

A health centre is available at Banjar and a dispensary at Jibhi, a few kilometres from the Camp. Lady Wellington Hospital is available at Manali, 2 hours drive from the Camp.

Management cannot be held responsible nor can they compensate if items get damaged or go missing. We do endeavor to return lost property where possible but in order to do this we ask that belongings are clearly named.
